GrowBizz Consulting

Workflow software for regulated professional firms

You are turning away work you don’t have the people to do.

We remove the mechanical hours — reconciling figures, assembling prescribed-format reports, tracking evidence and statutory dates — so the same team can take on more engagements.

Request a workflow audit

Four days, and no obligation to build anything after it.

What the work actually looks like

Every firm we have spoken to describes some version of the following. None of it is the part of the job you trained for.

The documents arrive in whatever form the client had to hand

Someone on your team asks for the invoices. What comes back is a phone photograph taken at an angle, a scan with two pages on one sheet, and a spreadsheet in a layout nobody has seen before. Before any professional judgement can be applied, a person has to sit down and turn that into something usable.

Figures move from one document to another by hand

A number is read off a PDF, typed into a working sheet, then typed again into the prescribed template. It gets checked twice because the output carries a signature. The checking costs as much as the typing, and neither is the work the client is paying for.

Each cycle starts from an empty template

The return, the report, the filing — most of it is what it was last cycle, with a handful of figures changed and a paragraph or two rewritten. It still gets rebuilt from the beginning, because last cycle’s version lives in a folder somebody has to find first.

Months later, you have to explain why

A query comes in about an assumption made three quarters ago. The answer exists — in an email thread, a WhatsApp message, a spreadsheet cell that was overwritten since. Reconstructing it takes a senior person a day, and the reconstruction is never quite as good as a record made at the time.

What we build

Four capabilities. Which of them you need is what the audit determines.

Reconciliation and validation

Data is checked against the rules that apply to it — internal consistency, statutory thresholds, prior-period figures — and every mismatch is flagged with the two values that disagree. It removes the line-by-line tie-out and the second pass someone does to confirm the first.

Evidence and audit trail

Every figure keeps a link to the document it came from, and every decision records who made it, when, and on what basis. It removes the reconstruction exercise when a file is questioned months or years later.

Report assembly

Prescribed formats are populated from the reconciled data, with the previous cycle carried forward so the next one begins from the last one rather than from a blank template. It removes the retyping and the formatting work that sits between a finished analysis and a signable document.

Deadline tracking

Every client, every statutory date, and what is outstanding for each one, in a single view. It removes the private list a partner keeps and the periodic scramble to confirm nothing has been missed.

How it works

Fixed scope and stated timeframes at every step. You can stop after any of them.

  1. Workflow audit

    4 days

We sit with the people who do the work and map one engagement end to end. You get a written document: where the hours go, quantified per engagement; which steps can be automated and which cannot; and what a build would cost. The document is yours whether or not you go further, and it is useful on its own.

  2. Fixed-scope build

    5–10 working days

One workflow, built and deployed, with your team trained on it. Scope and price are agreed before anything starts, from the audit document. If it takes longer than estimated, that is our cost, not yours.

  3. Handover

    On delivery

You own the software and the data. It runs on your infrastructure, under your accounts. You get the source, the documentation, and a walkthrough of how it is put together, so another engineer could take it on.

  4. Ongoing maintenance

    Monthly, cancellable

Formats change, thresholds move, portals get redesigned. We keep the software current with the regulations it encodes, and handle changes as your process changes. Optional — some firms take the handover and maintain it themselves.

How we handle your data

You are liable for what leaves your office with your signature on it. These are the terms we work under, and they are not negotiable downward.

An NDA is signed before we see anything

Before the audit begins, before any file is shared. Yours if you have one, ours if you do not.

It runs where you need it to run

Where client data cannot leave your control, the software is deployed on your infrastructure, under your accounts, with your access rules. We do not need to hold a copy to maintain it.

We retain nothing

Working files shared with us during a build are destroyed at handover. Where we need sample data to test against, we use anonymised or synthetic records wherever the workflow allows it.

A person approves every extracted value

Reading figures out of scanned and photographed documents may use AI. Every value it extracts is displayed against the source document it came from, for a person to confirm or correct before it goes anywhere. Nothing is filed, submitted, or certified without someone signing off on it.

About us

GrowBizz Consulting is a software practice. We build automation for regulated professional work — the reconciliation, the document handling and the report assembly that sit underneath the judgement a qualified person signs.

We are engineers, not registered valuers, insolvency professionals or environmental consultants, and we do not pretend otherwise. What we know is how to take a process a skilled person performs by hand, understand it precisely, and build software that does the mechanical part of it reliably. The domain we learn from the people who practise it — which is what the first four days are for, and why we sit with your staff rather than send a questionnaire.

Our software reads documents, checks figures against the rules that apply to them, and assembles prescribed formats. Where a document has to be read rather than parsed, that step is AI-assisted, and every value it produces is shown against its source for a person to approve.

We build one workflow at a time, deploy it on your infrastructure, and maintain it as the regulations move. The professional judgement stays with you, where the liability already sits.
